Meet Nellie

Picture

Listen Now:  A Rainbow Of Children

The adventures of Nellie is a magical presentation combining original narrative, storytelling, music and song.  It illustrates the life stories of Nellie, the little Irish harp and her lady.  Kitty Sullivan (My Lady) is the originator, writer, musician and solo performer.  Kitty is the speaker, but Nellie is the storyteller.  Nellie’s voice.  Nellie’s words.  And as Nellie says, “all our stories are real.  They really happened.”

A charming mix of whimsy and reality, Nellie’s stories and songs have universal appeal to children ages 4-10.  Nellie and her lady and gentleman and special bird friend, Seamus, take the children on adventures all over the world.  They travel through time and space.  They celebrate the wonder of family and friends and shared experience through the magical windows of words and music.

Nellie’s many friends and family  (human, harp and Seamus) also feature in a series of additional adventure stories:  Making Friends; Mother Bird; The Hawk; And Out We Go... Yay!; Flying Home; My Family Grows …Backwards; A Family Crisis; The Magic Room; Italy; New Places; Nellie Goes to Asia; The Silence of Nellie and more.

The stories are each about 20 minutes in length.  The show is performed with an interactive 10 minute intermission where the children are invited to share their lives with Nellie and Kitty.  Total running time is approximately 30-40 minutes.

My Lady
Says Hello!

Hello!
My name is Kitty, or My Lady as Nellie calls me.
Nellie and I are so happy to meet you.
Nellie and I have had a lot of adventures,
so we have many more stories and songs to share with you.
And all of our stories are real. They really happened.
You’ll meet our Family and travel the world with us.
You’ll meet Violet who paints our world in beautiful pictures.
You’ll be our new Friends. We love making new Friends.
And Seamus, our special bird friend will always look after us.
So, until we meet again…

Love from us both, (Seamus too)
Kitty
